For my next trick, I will make this dolled-up Camry's remaining sense of worth disappear!

Can't lose what you never had.

Ha, but I said sense of worth, not actual worth!

I think I found something worse...

Wow. The mullet Landau...on an Escort. I think this one of the most depressing things I have seen. Just thinking of the person who would buy and drive that.

I saw one of these parked at a rod & custom show last weekend. I was full of wtf until I found something more interesting to ponder.

Why the hell do people do this?
I've seen a guy around the city with one of these with that top on it:
Seriously. What would make you think to put that on a Sentra?

One day I would like to do this to a convertible.
"Hey, nice convertible."
"It was."

I see so many random cars with that crap done. Just saw a 2011 Black Accord Sedan with that crap done to it. Is this a horrible factory option? Dealer installed POS? Or are drugs more rampant than I thought?

I can't believe this stuff still happens.

My guess is that an old person drives that car, as the landau conversions were only popular with a select generation of car owners.

Unfortunately, no. It was a young ghetto dude.
Ghetto folk think it looks flashy for some reason in this area.

Weird. Sad and weird.

Though it's still sad to see the elderly generation still hanging on to that on modern cars.
Same thing with chrome. I think there are very, very few instances in which a modern car should have chrome body parts. And often even wheels.
I love chrome on classic cars, though. Just so out of place in the modern era.

Here's my chrome rule:
Did your car come with chrome-plated steel (not plastic) bumpers?
Yes - chrome is OK.
No - get that crap outta here.

That's true. Which to be honest, if the manufacturer spent the time and $$ to chrome plate steel instead of use plastic, it's probably one of the cars I consider OK to have chrome still.

It's actually more of a skullet Landau, if you think about it.
